This Renaissance style castle is the most inspired of the Loire castles with its sumptuous apartments, its gilded rooms...

Built in the 17th century on medieval foundations, this moated Renaissance-style château is an object of great beauty. Guided tours take visitors through the sumptuous apartments, decorated and gilded like the finest châteaux of the period. The rest of the building is also well worth a visit, particularly the French gardens, which have little to envy those of the Loire châteaux. Disappeared in the 19th century, they were recreated in the 1990s. They include a vegetable garden and a labyrinth to delight children.

Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The tour guide was amazing and worked really hard to use English throughout the tour. The Gardens are wonderful

Un vrai bijou ! Le Château de Cormatin est splendide, avec des pièces richement décorées et super bien conservées.

Mention spéciale aux escaliers monumentaux et aux décors du XVIIe siècle qui sont juste incroyables.

Les jardins sont aussi magnifiques, parfaits pour une balade paisible après la visite.

Une très belle découverte en Bourgogne, à ne pas manquer
