MUSÉE ROLIN
Museum presenting beautiful collections of art and archaeology coming essentially from Autun and its surroundings.
The Musée Rolin, closed for renovation until 2027, is normally a must-see in the historic center. Housed in Nicolas Rolin's 15th-century mansion, its mission is to bring together art and archaeology collections, mainly from the surrounding area. A major expansion project is due to start in 2023, to make the museum less cramped. It involves extending the museum into two buildings: a 19th-century circular prison and the former Palais de Justice. During the works, some of the museum's wonders will be on display in the Natural History Museum.
