Classified as a Historic Monument in 2003, former residence of the canons of the 15th century, the Sainte-Barbe house owes its origin to the foundation of the dormitory of the Autun Cathedral chapter and is in itself a historical site to discover. Leaned against the cloister, and located only 30 m from Saint-Lazare Cathedral, the house is partly built on a chapel. Its proximity to the restaurants and the Rolin Museum will make your stay pleasant and functional. Marie-Luce Lequieme, the owner, offers four rooms for rent in the late 18th century style, whose refined decoration has combined the charm of the old with the comfort of modern facilities. A dining room steeped in history and a lounge area with a fireplace to enjoy breakfast or a reading by the fireplace. In summer, the superb garden offers its most beautiful colours to the guests while the only song of the birds breaks a very appreciable silence.

La Maison Sainte Barbe is definitely a great B&B. The building itself makes you travel back in time, my room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was great, home made with quality products. The location is ideal, in the heart of the historic centre of Autun. Finally, Marie Luce and Jerôme are friendly, pleasant hosts. I totally recommend La Maison Sainte Barne and will come back myself.

Nous avons loué deux chambres. Dans la première, la literie était mauvaise. |Deuxième chambre, baignoire sans tapis, sans poignée, très dangereuse.|Petit déjeuner à minima et accueil moyen. Tarif élevé pour les prestations fournies. Nous n’y retournerons assurément pas!

Une maison dhote comme.on les aime. Un accueil charmant, un petit déjeuner vers la cheminée et une hôte plus que sympathique. Lorsque vous poussez la porte du porche, vous tomberez sur un somptueux jardin, après avoir emprunter l'escalier en pierre menant aux chambres, vous pourrez découvrir plusieurs chambres décorées avec goût. La nuit passée, vous pourrez déguster un copieux petit déjeuner près de la cheminée avec confiture maison, fromage frais, fruits, jus de fruits et boissons chaudes.
