While you're in Valkenburg, take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings for a rejuvenating break. We recommend a walk along the Gueule, the local river, where you may even spot some beavers. Several footpaths run alongside the river (itineraries are available from the Tourist Office). It is also bordered in places by small pebble beaches, as well as by the magnificent Geulpark, with its playground for younger visitors.
