The parish of Kingston is made up of nearly twenty hamlets including Kingston, a small village erected in 1783 by Loyalists at the end of the American Revolution. The village is located at the junction of Routes 845 and 850 and is famous for its Saturday farmers' market which draws crowds from May to late October. Also in the heart of the village is the 1810 Carter House for afternoon tea and the John Fisher Memorial Museum which is entirely dedicated to the history of the Kingston Peninsula. It is well worth exploring the peninsula, including the Moss Glen Nature Trail in the Clifton Royal area.
