A church with sculptures of Adam and Eve, Abel and Cain
Of its original 12th-century structure, the church of Sant Serni de Meranges retains only its apse and portal, the rest being the result of 18th-century renovation. Inlaid in the 5 archivolts above the entrance door are sculptures of Adam and Eve, Abel and Cain, and an allusion to lust in the form of a woman having her breasts bitten by a snake. The door's ironwork also dates from the Romanesque period.
