A foundation created in 1973 with the aim of promoting the reading of Josep Pla's literary and journalistic work
Created in 1973 on the initiative of Josep Pla, who decided to donate his personal library to the foundation, the aim of the foundation today is to promote the reading of Josep Pla's literary and journalistic work. To this end, it organizes various activities such as permanent and temporary exhibitions, workshops and itineraries. These include the Josep Pla circuit, designed to introduce visitors to the places in the town that were significant for his work: the houses where he was born and lived, the seafront along the creeks or the Llofriu cemetery. Or more specialized tours, such as a walk that ends with a delicious meal.
