The decor is impeccable, as are the tables, and the service is impeccable. A good address, not to be missed from now on, where it's best to make a reservation.

This Ambergris Caye institution opened in 1974 as a burger joint. Since then, Elvi and her family have transformed it into one of the island's must-try restaurants, serving mainly Belizean and Mayan dishes, prepared with fresh fish caught just a few miles from your plate and quality meats; crab is one of the specialties, but don't hesitate to ask for a nice grilled lobster when in season. There's also a good choice for vegetarians, who can enjoy a delicious coconut or mango ceviche.

Times and dishes vary according to Robin's whim, but his restaurant is definitely one of the best value for money in San Pedro. The service here is simple, with tables by the roadside, close to the barbecue where the chicken or fish is grilled. Simple and efficient. The food is Jamaican, as is the chef. It's best to arrive before 1pm at noon and before 6pm in the evening if you want to be sure of being served. Robin is very involved in the community and gives many cooking classes to the young people of San Pedro.
