KANUPARK MARKKLEEBERG

The Markkleeberg "Canoe and Kayak Park", built entirely on the south-eastern shore of Lake Markkleeberg, is the second largest adventure water sports course in Germany. It is designed to host top level competitions in canoeing, kayaking and rafting, with different slaloms, rapids and various current powers. In this respect, it is one of the most modern sites of its kind in Europe. Its designers like to point out that their park has nothing to envy to the Olympic courses designed for the Sydney, London or Rio de Janeiro Games.
