This islet of 650 meters x 120 meters shares its lagoon with the local island of Guraidhoo. With a lot of vegetation and relatively little construction, it provides a complete change of scenery in an idyllic setting. Framed by two nearby deserted islands, it is easy to play Robinson Crusoe and even possible to spend a night there under the stars. Surrounded by a beautiful ribbon of pristine white sand, the island offers unforgettable views of every shade of blue in the lagoon. It is home to a luxury resort run by the Como Group, the first to be established in Thaa Atoll. In season, it is possible to observe the shy hammerhead sharks and manta rays. The resort attracts passionate divers with a certain amount of money, but also many couples in love, seduced by the timeless charm of this island and its beautiful facilities. Maalifushi Island is also close to Farms, a popular wave for surfers.
