Velavaru, an island measuring 500 metres x 200 metres, is the second island-hotel to open on Dhalu in December 1998. It is known as Turtle Island. Velaa means "turtle". This beautiful island was taken over and renovated by the Angsana Group in 2006. The island occupies a beautiful lagoon with a natural pool and coral reefs. The island does not host any villa on stilts. These are installed in all independence at the other end of the lagoon. You have to take a boat to get to the island. As much to say that they were conceived for couples in love or in honeymoon.
