West of Cape Haitian on the national road 1. This is an historic place, since this is where the last battle of the Haitian Revolution took place. Dessalines defeated the French troops on November 18, 1803. In this battle, General Capois, who will pass to posterity under the name Capeis Death, behaved so heroically that his opponents paid him tribute. A monument is erected in memory of the courage of the combatants.
