Morija, 35 km south of the capital of Lesotho, is a village founded by three French missionaries on the southern road, named after the biblical Mt. It is a perfect stopover on the way, not far from the tarred road to Maseru and Malealea, on the higher ground. The town is recognized as an important historical and cultural site. One of the reasons for stopping here is the Morija Museum, which attempts to trace and pass on the history of Morija through its archives and other documents dating back to the 19th century. The museum aims to be a space for learning, innovation and excellence in Lesotho
