Brunswick, with a population of approximately 21,700, is located half an hour north of Portland. It is a college town, with much of its vitality coming from the renowned Bowdoin College, one of the most prestigious universities in the country. The campus is a great place to walk around, the Bowdoin Museum of Art is excellent and the main street, Maine Street, is a great place to shop. Thanks to the presence of the university, Brunswick is a city with a student atmosphere.
