Created in 1937, the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge stretches over 162 000 ha to Georgia and Florida. It is a vast area preserved for dense fauna and flora. Affected, racoons and many birds, such as cranes, herons or crested, can be observed there.Fires declare themselves regularly during drought. Very difficult to control, they can persist for weeks, which may lead to the closure of the park or some entries.
