Water sports

Neighbours of the Nivernais canal and participating in its feeding, these two artificial bodies of water extend over 275 ha and include an ornithological reserve rich in waterfowl species. The departmental base of Baye allows you to practice various activities. Sailing is privileged, for initiation as well as for improvement, with a school having the approval of the French Sailing School. You can also practice triak, a sail adapted for disabled people (handivoile).

Découverte de l'échelle de Sardy et des voûtes de la Collancelle

Hiking

From Bazolles, a bike ride will lead you to some architectural curiosities. The first are the Collancelle vaults. Built to cross the mountain instead of going around it, they are now decorated by intense vegetation and let barges, cyclists and hikers pass through. A few kilometers further on, you will find the Sardy scale, a succession of sixteen locks. This itinerary is part of the Nivernais Canal cycle route.
