This reserve is a favorite with hikers for its Supai Village and magnificent waterfalls. Located in a canyon tributary to the south of the Colorado River, it covers 760 km2 and was created in 1880, then enlarged in 1975. The land is administered by the Havasupais, whose name means "people of the blue-green and blue waters".
