The Baggaertshof, a group of small houses located in Kortrijk, which surround a square courtyard transformed into a botanical garden

The Baggaertshof is a group of cottages created in 1638 to house needy women. The Baggaert sisters built 12 cottages and a janitor's house for poor widows and unmarried women. Rules and ordinances", such as coming home early to ring the big bell, were imposed on them. The thirteen houses, plus a chapel, surround a square courtyard transformed into a botanical garden, featuring over 200 species of medicinal and aromatic herbs. There is also a creative workshop for children.
