WESTHOEK NATURE RESERVE
Nature reserve of the Westhoek with 6 marked trails that measure 10 km in total
This nature reserve covers 340 ha. Exaggeratedly nicknamed the Little Sahara, it is reduced to three wide dunes surrounding two purlins, i.e. a hollow that fills with water at each tide. In fact, the reserve is endangered by excessive pumping of water. However, despite being dried out, fragmented, trampled over and undergrown, the site has retained a very high natural value. Six paths (10 km in total) are marked out, the Westhoek path is green.
