Restaurant with terrace offering simple but pleasant cuisine in Vandenesse-en-Auxois.
It's in the charming little village of Vandenesse in Auxois, just a stone's throw from the Canal that started this beautiful story. Blandine Bourlier has created a small restaurant that makes afternoon tea and can also organize theme evenings, cooperative company games. In slate, the offer is simple but pleasant. Everything is home and prepared with the fresh products of the moment. In general 3 dishes, 2 desserts and a platter of cheese. The dishes often have a Provencal flavour, pie in Sausage, aioli… Often this summer the Epoissette, which is expected to last this winter, 2 beautiful potato sweets and Fondu melted with a small salad. For homemade desserts, Blandine has a secret to prepare a little apple pie, called Apple Flower, it is a real rose to the apple, with its small vanilla ice. Here's a gargantuan meal point, but nice tasty dishes. Besides drinks, tea salon oblige, the card is generous with a dozen teas, some infusions, good coffee and a beautiful beer card, Tiger Bock, Thomas Becket, Alésia, Altiplano… to judge. There is also a selection of wines from our regions, including the Auxois, Du, Champagne… The inner room, with stones and beams, smells good Burgundy, the terrace runs around the house. Il Was Once also a shop for the products consumed. Above all, it's a great place to stop at the really soft prices.

Nous sommes venu en famille et avons découvert cet endroit dès notre petit déjeuner. Nous avons pris ce dont nous avions besoin. Ayant eu un accueil super agréable, nous avons décidé d'y retourner pour le déjeuner après nos visite.
Une carte simple et efficace! Des produits de qualité et savoureux. La court vous donne envie de flâner plus longtemps que prévu! Amateur de Bières, nous n'avons pas été déçu! Voyant l'affiche d'une soirée concert, nous y sommes retourné le soir!... et nous avons passé une excellente soirée, malheureusement à l'intérieur à cause du temps... Mais cela a créé une super ambiance conviviale! Merci pour cette journée gourmande et pour votre agréable accueil et sympathie! A bientôt!
