This museum is housed in the former residence of the painter Edgar Gevaert (1891-1965). He married the daughter of the sculptor George Minne, hence the name of the museum. Bought by the city, this house, built in Gothic monastic style, becomes in 1994 municipal museum. In addition to the works by Edgar Gevaert, the sculptures by Georges Minne, as well as the works of many artists, can be discovered. Xavier de Cock, Albert Servaes and many others.
