Museum dedicated to the entire history of art with elegant dining rooms and huge and eclectic collections

Please note: the museum will reopen in 2026 after renovation and extension. Behind the 18th-century façade lies a modern building: a museum dedicated to the entire history of art from 1600 to the present day. A must for design retrospectives, known throughout the country. Big names in interior and exterior design (including landscape architect Bas Smets). The collections are enormous and eclectic. Immerse yourself in a bath of Art Nouveau in the land of Horta, where Le Corbusier, Hoste, Van Huffel... also rub shoulders. To be rediscovered after the reopening!

Le musée abrite des objets originaux dans un bel hôtel particulier. Visite effectuée malheureusement entre deux expositions temporaires donc fortement écourtée. Peu de pièces à visiter (4-5) pour le même tarif qu'en période normale. Des cartes postales en flamand et en anglais étaient à disposition dans chaque pièce avec des légendes des œuvres présentées. Un petit + appréciable.
