Youth hostel in the center of Ghent, the best in town for its home-like atmosphere, dormitories and new beds.
This centrally-located youth hostel is the best in Ghent. The dormitories, some with a direct view of the monuments, sleep from 3 to 14 people. Characterful floors, brick walls, old windows... the whole place has character. The beds are new, mostly bunk beds, each with its own reading light and socket. Lockers, kitchen and shared bathrooms are satisfactory. The living room impresses with its windows, space and home-like atmosphere. Good breakfast. Kayaks and bicycles for hire.

I stayed one night with a friend and the first thing that surprised us is that is right in the St. Michael's bridge, a few meters from the center.
When you are in the lounge or cafeteria you can see the view is beautiful, the same view that you get in most of the rooms.
The girls that worked there are amazingly kind and pay lots of attention to detail. They were kind enough to offer advice of places to check out and food recommendations.
Everything is so cleaned and actually they just reformed most of the hotel 2 weeks ago. You could tell the rooms were brand new.
When I come back to get I'll go to Uppelink for sure :D
