It is the main railway station in the south of the city, its pretty passenger building dates back to 1912, built for the World's Fair. This is where most trains leave and arrive, including the Thalys. It takes 55 minutes to get to Antwerp, 35 minutes to Brussels, 25 minutes to Bruges and 45 minutes to Ostend. There is also one direct train per hour to Oudenaarde. St. Peter's station is quite far from the centre on foot, so it's best to take tram no. 1 (stop on the left as you leave the station, in the tunnel).

BLUE BIKE

Getting around by bike

One of the most practical addresses, present throughout Flanders, with locker terminals in all stations. After a train journey, Blue-bike lets you rent bicycles at a lower cost. You just have to swipe your card in advance. All you have to do is follow the signs to the bike point at the station. You can use the key dispenser (24/24) or go to the branch during opening hours. A single Blue-bike card allows you to rent two bikes at a time. They are available at Saint-Pierre and Dampoort stations.
