It is the main railway station in the south of the city, its pretty passenger building dates back to 1912, built for the World's Fair. This is where most trains leave and arrive, including the Thalys. It takes 55 minutes to get to Antwerp, 35 minutes to Brussels, 25 minutes to Bruges and 45 minutes to Ostend. There is also one direct train per hour to Oudenaarde. St. Peter's station is quite far from the centre on foot, so it's best to take tram no. 1 (stop on the left as you leave the station, in the tunnel).

Grande gare
Grande gare de correspondance située en bordure de la ville de Gand. La gare est depuis longtemps en travaux. Nombreux services.

Une belle gare, autant de l'extérieur que de l'intérieur !
You must taste the smoothies that are sold in the train station in the reception. They are delicious.
