A Catholic church in Gothic style, built on an ancient monastery dedicated to Saint Feuillen, with a Romanesque tower
The collegiate church, in Gothic style, is built on an ancient monastery dedicated to Saint Feuillen, an Irish monk. It replaces a Carolingian church, and has a remarkable Romanesque tower dating from the 11th century. An additional originality is that its crypt is outside. This is a unique feature in Wallonia. A Celtic cross erected at the entrance of the collegiate church symbolizes the passage of Saint Feuillen in the region. The bottom of the tower was itself a parish church from the 14th to the 18th century. A door crossed the rampart, giving access to the city.
