- Our perception of fragrance changes with the seasons
Scents appear more intense in the heat of summer, while they become more discreet in winter. Diet, certain medications and smoking can also alter the way a fragrance appears on the skin. So many factors that make each fragrance unique to each person, at each moment.
- A perfume creation workshop, the only one of its kind in Belgium
The Atelier de Parfumerie Delforge is an exceptional place, where each fragrance comes to life through a complete process of design, creation and manufacture. Nestled in the heart of the workshop, essential oils of fruit, flowers, wood and spices wait to be sublimated. It is in the delicate art of blending them, the fruit of precious, jealously-preserved know-how, that the very soul of our House lies.
- The art of composition, from shadow to light
Each olfactory harmony, the fruit of exclusive compositions, is meticulously tested and evaluated in our laboratory, located at the very heart of the Parfumerie. Once the top, heart and base notes have been perfectly balanced and validated, the perfumes begin a period of rest, sheltered from the light and cool in the casemates. Then comes the final stage: bottling, orchestrated with precision in the Atelier. Today, Parfumerie Delforge is home to almost 40 creations, the result of passionate research, exceptional expertise and total mastery of every stage of production.
- A fragrance laboratory in the heart of the Walloon capital
To offer its perfumes a place worthy of their subtlety, Atelier Delforge has set up shop in a setting steeped in history. In the heart of the Citadelle of Namur, capital of Wallonia, the House has found refuge in a former military artillery laboratory.
Abandoning gunpowder and cannons in favor of a far more bewitching weapon - that of perfume - the cellars of the Château des Comtes de Namur have been transformed into an exceptional laboratory. This choice of location is no accident: directly connected to a network of constant-temperature casemates, the Parfumerie benefits from ideal conditions for maturing its precious fragrances.
