Located at the gateway to the Ardennes plateau and on the edge of the Famenne region, Nassogne offers many attractions. Privileged and off the beaten tourist track, dotted with hills and valleys, the Nassogne region is ideal for family walks and sporting activities, and retains its tranquility even in the height of summer for those seeking a place to relax. It covers an area of almost 12,000 hectares and has a population of around 5,000. More than half of the area is forested. The collegiate church of Saint-Monon, commissioned by Pepin Le Bref in the late 7thcentury , is just a few dozen meters from the town square.
