This is the northernmost region of the province of Luxembourg. The main localities, Barvaux, Durbuy and Bomal, are as much turned towards the outside of the province as towards the most important agglomeration of the surroundings, namely Marche-en-Famenne. Durbuy, considered as the smallest city in the world, has a real tourist vocation. The city seems to be wrapped up in the meanders of the Ourthe. Its gray complexion contrasts with the green tones of the wooded slopes that surround it and all the glory of its rich past is inscribed in its picturesque alleys and its houses intact since the 18th century.
