The production and weaving of hemp has been certified in Poiseul since the beginning of the th century. The facilities needed to manufacture the fabric were installed near the sources, a few kilometres from the village, because the retting retting of bad smells. Let us not forget that the term "retting" comes from a word of ancient French that meant "rotting". An exceptional rouissoir model of 4 basins is located here, next to the old washing house. This is where hemp macérait before drying a little further. The road that leads there is very well equipped and it is possible to picnic there.
