It is 7 km from Santa Lucía, 13 km from Canelones and 56 km from Montevideo. Surrounded by natural landscapes, with hills and forests, Aguas Corrientes is a small town located in the department of Canelones. It owes its name to the pumping, filtration and purification facilities around the Santa Lucia River. This is the largest river in the country and the source of drinking water for the departments of Montevideo and Canelones. The city is therefore the ideal site for water sports, and you can also enjoy canoeing and fishing, a very popular pastime in the area. It is also possible to camp on site.
