Warrnambool marks the end of the Great Ocean Road. The whaling and sealing village of yesteryear has become a town of nearly 30,000 inhabitants, active and student-oriented with the University of Daekin. However, it has managed to preserve its waterfront. Once off the Princes Highway, which crosses Warrnambool, the town center allows travelers to stop and discover its historical buildings, such as the Post Office (1870), the Courthouse (1871) or the Western Hotel (1869). Three kilometers to the east, on the beach, the Logans Beach Whale Viewing Platform allows you to observe southern right whales from July to September.
