Set back from the Great Ocean Road, on a plateau, Johanna is a scattered settlement with a beautiful waterfront. For the anecdote, you should know that it owes its name to the schooner - a light two-masted boat - Joanna which was wrecked at the mouth of the Johanna River on September 22, 1843. Surfing enthusiasts will enjoy its magnificent beach which offers very beautiful waves! For beginners, be careful, the current can be strong. Do not hesitate to go through a club for more security. And if you don't practice, don't hesitate to simply watch the surfers catching their waves, it's impressive!
