Small capital of Crooked Island, Colonel Hill concentrates most of the activity of the island. It is particularly lively on Friday nights around the Bloom of the Valley dance bar, or the Tiger Bar, the oldest drinking establishment on the island. The atmosphere is always very relaxed on Crooked Island, so don't hesitate to make contact with the islanders. The village is also the highest point of the island and of course you will find the usual administrations, central and local governments, a post office and of course a police station. A nearby airport links the island to the rest of the archipelago. Bahamas Air flies in on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
