In Foumbot, fields on hillsides and plains take precedence over forest. And deforestation (use of wood for heating) completes the picture of a village best recognized by its mosque, topped by two minarets. The people of Foumbot make a living from fishing in the Noun, on whose banks (on the Foumban side) Claude Njiké-Bergeret, the famous white queen, lives. A particularly quiet place, Foumbot nevertheless has two markets, one of which is on the roadside. Don't be overwhelmed by the beauty of the vegetables, or you'll come back with 25 kg of tomatoes you won't know what to do with!
