How dear to our hearts are the shops with the taste of yesteryear! Since 1926, Gérard Parmentier's Au Roi des Pâtes is well known to the people of Dijon. The shelves are bursting with opulence, with an abundance of products imported from Italy. The King of Pasta makes us lose our heads at the sight of these gargantuan dishes: fresh pasta, antipasti, cold meats, cheeses and Italian wines as well as pizzas to take away. A business with impeccable service, which is never empty. On market days, the crowd is so large that you will have to be patient.

The staff was nice and the selection of Italian products was good. Might sound like a given but on a Monday good luck finding pecorino Romano or guancale anywhere else in Dijon. The quality of the product I bought was very good. Also the shop does have a charm. I would happily come back.

Très mauvais accueil, 4 vendeuses à rien faire, j'étais la seule cliente dans le magasin, 10 minutes d'attente, toujours pas servie. Je suis repartie sans rien, et je suis allée aux Portes d'Italie, dans la rue voisine (Godrans), où là les vendeuses sont souriantes, sans attente, et les produits sont tout aussi bon (sinon mieux). Je recommande vivement les Portes d'Italie!
