We would like to say that it is a shop that we no longer present, but we have so much pleasure in talking about it! The Comptoir des Colonies is not only a popular tea room for tourists and a haven for regulars, it is also a boutique area that offers an impressive range of Mariage Frères teas for sale, each with its own poetic names. Under the window, some utensils and crockery elements to perfect an old-fashioned tea time. About twenty coffee references from all over the world roasted a few steps from the show. The fragrances that emerge from it offer the incomparable pleasure of an olfactory journey in the Caribbean or Africa. A new addition to the range since last year: an organic coffee from Peru. In short, a perfect place to enjoy a snack time trip!

Das Ambiente ist auf jeden Fall speziell und einen Blick ins innere Wert, es ist aber ziemlich eng. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Hände weg vom Kaffee! Wir waren uns bewusst, dass es ein Teehaus ist und dieser ist bestimmt gut. Allerdings wurde auch der Kaffee des Monats an Tafeln angepriesen und da müssen wir ganz klar sagen, das war kein Kaffee. Selbst mit Milch, Zucker und Rahm ungeniessbar. Dazu die kleinen Süssigkeiten (Café Gourmand), naja: Vanillecreme aus der Dose, aufgetaute Beeren und ein Früchtecakestück. Das war auch schon unser zweiter Besuch, da wir das Ambiente mögen. Kulinarisch aber schon zum zweiten Mal eine Enttäuschung.

No viennoiserie at 10:55 other than 1 croissant, average coffee and VERY stale pain d’épices which was probably the worst cake I’ve had in France (€6!).

Fuimos a desayunar un domingo. Atención inmediata, amable y eficiente, en menos de 5 mins ya habían empezado a traernos el desayuno. Hay una formule de 8€ que incluye bebida caliente, zumo de naranja (industrial, pero al menos un vaso grande), pan blanco con mantequilla y mermelada y un croissant, nada mal para los precios que se ven a veces desorbitados. En cuanto al sitio, si eres un amante del té, tienen una selección amplísima y de una de las mejores marcas de té en Francia. El capuccino sí que decepciona un poco por el tamaño y la desproporción de café y espuma, pero soportable si consideras el conjunto.
