Dijon seen from above: climb the towers!

You have to climb the 316 steps to reach the top of the tower, perched 46 meters high. The tour lasts 45 minutes, and is always accompanied by a guide who shares anecdotes about its décor and history. Built between 1450 and 1460 by Jean Poncelet, the Tower's role was more symbolic of ducal power than defensive. A spiral staircase leads up to the terrace, which overlooks the town and is decorated with a flamboyant Gothic balustrade. From June to October, contemplate the city, glass in hand, with the aperitifs de la Tour.
