LE COMPTOIR
restaurant offering varied and homemade dishes at affordable prices
The Hotel Campanile Centre-Gare, run by Philippe Gaillard, is just opposite the station. Its restaurant Le Comptoir invites you to have a good time during business or family meals. A la carte, dish or pizza of the day, but also burgers, burgundy or classic, or cod back and its risotto. Enough to make you want to get your strength back! Varied dishes, we also like the AOC wine list, including the premiers crus Givry in red and Montagny in white. The chef also thinks of vegetarians with an excellent organic vegetable crumble.

First, we were given a room that was not only incorrect but also filthy, with blood-stained beds. Then, staff sent us to another room that was already occupied — the poor guest inside was as shocked as we were when we accidentally walked in.
Finally, they moved us to a room with only one bed for three people, right next to a noisy elevator where groups of loud, drunk guests were yelling all night. The worst part? Reception later gave our room key to two strangers who tried to enter twice while we were inside.
When we spoke with the shift manager the next morning, there was no apology, no concern, and no compensation offered. This place is extremely poorly managed and unsafe. Avoid it — especially if you’re travelling with family or anyone with accessibility needs.
