A 13th-century Templar commandery, now a farm, worth a visit to admire the Gothic chapel
Built in the 13th century on the border between Champagne and Burgundy, the Épailly Templar commandery is representative of the importance of the Order of the Temple. Now a farm, the former commandery retains a magnificent Gothic chapel where several knights are buried. The farm's current barns and outbuildings are in fact the former Templar farm buildings, which are still in use despite their age.
