RUBJERG KNUDE MUSEUM AND LIGHTHOUSE

A lighthouse from 1900, silted up by the highest moving dunes in Europe, surrounded by wild shrubs, bilberries and sea buckthorns, and surrounded by pines and sand elymas. The museum tells the story of the lighthouse, the church and the strange dunes that surround them. In 2019, this 700 ton lighthouse was moved 70 meters thanks to a rail system. This titanic work took 4h30, was broadcast on live TV and attracted 250 000 visitors!
