At the turn of the century, the Atlantic wind blew in a few lonely cabins. Today, Lamberts Bay is a fishing port of some 6,000 inhabitants, exporting anchovies, snoeks and, above all, lobsters all over the world. Around 350 tonnes of Cape Rock lobsters are frozen each year. Thrill-seekers won't be disappointed... by the fishy smell that pervades the harbor! The ocean air and marine scents will revive any dying man. You can follow the coast path south to Elandsbaai. From June to September, flowers cover the sandveld after the rain. Not to be missed.
