The municipality of Taravao has undergone some development in recent years. Situated on an isthmus between Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti, it has several points of interest, including the eponymous plateau, with its lush green landscapes and dairy cow farms; superb panorama from above! Also note the goat hatchery and the Tahiti Oil Factory. A diving club, Tahiti Iti Diving, offers great opportunities to discover the sea beds of the Presqu'île. Finally, on the restaurant side, in addition to the two addresses listed below, Taumatai (+689 40 571 359) offers a pleasant setting with a garden, where the dishes are copious and well prepared.
