This 34,000 hectare park is located in the northern extension of the Thai forest towards Man. It is home to chimpanzees, leopards, duikers, pygmy hippos, buffaloes... and Mount Péko culminates at 833 meters above sea level. Over time, this national park has been completely colonized by the wild cultivation of cocoa. A project to "clear out" a thousand illegal planters aims to re-launch conservation activities in the park and to plan its reopening to tourism, but social tensions are high for the time being and there are currently no plans to develop tourism.
