This superb private château, a former parliamentary residence that has remained in the same family since it was built in the 18th century, is listed as a Monument Historique. A guided tour of this neoclassical château reveals the history of the de Loisy family, life in the 18th century and the life of Burgundy's parliamentarians. Twelve rooms with 18th- and 19th-century decor and furnishings have been well preserved thanks to the family's direct heirs, in particular Louise-Adélaïde Verchère. The grand staircase with its trompe-l'œil ceiling opening onto the sky, the Tsar's bedroom, the chapel, the yellow room, the library, the billiard room and the dining room are all superb. The most dazzling room is the grand salon, with its colored stuccowork and polychrome marble, the most beautiful room in Burgundy, according to Courtépée. No château without a park: created in 1805 by Jean-Marie Morel, this English-style park has been awarded the Jardin remarquable label, and is the best preserved of the landscape architect's creations. With a surface area of 45 hectares, including 7 hectares of pond, it is home to wild animals such as egrets and herons, as well as animals in enclosures and remarkable trees such as the Atlas cedar, the giant sequoia and a 19th-century Chinese pagoda. A true natural spectacle! Reception areas (Pressoir, Caveau, Trianon) can accommodate all types of events, from 120 to 1,200 people. Nous avons bénéficié, depuis la visite des lieux jusque dans les derniers préparatifs, d'un excellent accompagnement grâce à Marine, qui a su nous guider également dans le choix de nos prestataires - que nous ne regrettons pas du tout. Nos invités ont été, tout comme nous, subjugués par la beauté de l'endroit, l'architecture, le parc, et ils ont aussi apprécié les gîtes que nous avions réservés pour l'occasion. En bref, une journée merveilleuse dans un endroit enchanteur, tout était réuni pour notre bonheur.
Un véritable écrin de verdure et d’histoire, parfait pour sublimer des séances couple lors d’un mariage. Chaque recoin du domaine offre un décor unique, élégant et inspirant. Un grand merci et bravo pour la propreté du lieu et l’entretien des extérieurs. Même si le domaine du château peut recevoir deux mariages sur le même week-end, il y a pas de risques de se croiser et encore moins de se gêner. Il y a un grand espace séparé par un étang entre les deux lieux et tout est sous contrôle par un garde !! Je recommande à 100%100.
