Santa Fe is a village located 3 km from the Pan-American Highway. There is a police station, a hospital, a bank (ATM), supermarkets for supplies, and some typical inns and fondas . There is not much to do there, but it is from there that you can reach the Wounaan community of Boca Lara, known for its beautiful handicrafts. Agencies like Ecotour Darien offer day trips there. To reach Santa Fe, it takes about 3.5 hours by bus from the Albrook terminal. Departures every hour or so, 8 US$. Be careful, take a bus to Santa Fé de Darién and not to Santa Fé de Veraguas!
