La Bandonnière sunny hillside with southern flora and fauna, and guided walks every summer
An ideal spot on the outskirts of Longny for a family picnic followed by a stroll, this sunny 5-hectare hillside is home to flora and fauna with a southern accent. Thyme, wild thyme and orchids have taken root in this sensitive natural area. Along the 900 m path, you'll come across praying mantises, crickets and numerous butterflies. Every summer, members of the association faune et flore de l'Orne (Orne flora and fauna association) take visitors of all ages on a guided tour. You can also visit the site at your own pace throughout the year.
