Collection of a museum from four regions to discover mummies, statuettes, various decorative objects, sculptures
The archaeological collection (of more than 80,000 objects but 6,000 on display) of this museum comes from four different regions: Netherlands, Egypt, Near East and the so-called classical world (Rome and Greece). The museum has an inner courtyard. Its collections are regularly enriched thanks to the excavations carried out in Saqqarah in Egypt and Tell Sabi Abyad in Syria. You will discover: mummies, statuettes, various decorative objects, sculptures, etc. In the Taffeh Hall, the Temple of Isis of Taffeh was reconstructed as a gift from the Egyptian state to the Netherlands.

Très beau musée (les photographies sont autorisées, un laisse ses affaires au vestiaire donc on est pas surchargé), les collections sont variées très bien expliquées et la muséographie est splendide ! L'exposition temporaire Golden Middle Ages était de qualité.
