School where Rembrandt van Rijn was educated between 1616 and 1620 in Leiden
The Latin school is the school where Rembrandt van Rijn attended between 1616 and 1620. All classes were taught in Latin, the language spoken by all. Rembrandt took his first drawing lessons from Henricus Rieverlinck. This school provided a general education in preparation for studies. It was here that Rembrandt learned to draw. The school cannot be visited, but thanks to an ingenious animation, you can be drawn by Rembrandt when you look out the window. The next day, you can download the print!
