A building still used for presentations and graduations in Leiden
It is the seat of the university, which has been located in a former convent of Dominican nuns since the 16th century. This building is still used for presentations and graduations. It is customary for students to write their names on the wall of the zweetkamer, the sweat room, where they nervously wait to hear their names signifying that they have graduated. Beautiful stained glass windows tracing the history of the university. The building dates from 1516 and is mainly used for events.
